It is now 2023, this work was made 25 years ago. I unboxed the collection today (6/27/23) and decided it was finally time to add it to my website. What is going on with this work you might ask... Aside from looking like the inner workings of a madwoman, this work is a commentary on consumerism, and consumption... our natural environment at odds with our human-made environment. I was in a period of my life where I was drifting... I was rootless, and un-tethered. I had graduated from the University of New Mexico with my degree in fine arts, but so much had ended, and I was somewhat lost. I was fortunate to b able to go rest and regroup at my parents home in Hawaii where I spent my days observing, hiking, exploring, collecting... |
