In the Time of Quarantine
In March 2020 a pandemic swept across the globe and landed on our shores upending life as we knew it. The country had been in turmoil already from political divisiveness and I thought to myself... well, maybe there's an upside to a global pandemic... maybe it will bring our country together. Little did I know or could I have imagined that it would tear us further apart. I would never have thought that wearing a mask to protect ourselves against a deadly virus would become a political ping-pong ball. But that is exactly what happened: turning neighbor against neighbor, pitting one against the other in a quest to be right.
That is only the tip of the iceberg as far as politically charged subjects go in regard to the COVID 19 pandemic. But I will save that topic for another time...
