Many artists want "to aim for the biggest, most obvious target, and hit it smack in the bull's eye," says Brian Eno, a
Taurus genius renowned for his innovative music. He prefers a different approach. He'd rather "shoot his arrow" wherever his creative spirit feels called to shoot it, then paint the target around the place where it lands. That's why his compositions don't resemble anyone else's or fit into any traditional genre -- it's Brian Eno-like music. Excellent metaphor for someone like me~ from Rob Brezny's Astrological column for Taurus this week - I am not a taurus, but Peter is, so I read his too and glean from it... And it is Buddha's Birthday, also known as Hana Matsuri in Japan. The story goes
that when the Buddha was born, dragons flew down from heaven and poured fragrant water over the land, like a sweet rain, and all the flowers on land and water bloomed simultaneously. So on this day, statues of a young Buddha are decorated with flowers and carried to temples in procession, and children in Japan take turns pouring sweet tea over the Buddha's head. It is a day of gratitude. (the writer's almanac) Sit under a blue sky. Sweep away all trivia in your head & create a space for something to come in. Let ideas come into you. Cherish them. (Yoko Ono)
