This is the beautiful view, the Mokulua Islands, from across the street from where my Dad lives.I will hopefully post a few updates while we are there helping my dad...
Still 2+ feet of snow on the ground up in the north country...But the cabin was warm and dry! I spent my time cleaning and organizing and rearranging the living space. Only a few hundred square feet of it - but it is a big job to maintain!
Got the paint brush and roller out today and painted the corner where my new shelve will go! Hope to get it into place this weekend. I'm loving this bright clean look!
when we finally built our house and were ready to do the Landscaping I knew it was not going to be traditional lawn, I did some research and discovered Dutch White clover could be used as a ground cover. Here are some images of our clover lawn, it was so Lush and pillowy and I loved it! unfortunately it only lasted one season and the next spring it only came back sporadically... I did some research and found that our soil conditions weren't right for it so I ordered no-mow grass seed. I do like the no-mow lawn, but it does not have the same allure that this green carpet had!
Much as I love color, once in a while I like to go monochrome. Here's a little patch of rockweed in Black and White.
Rockweed - Egg Wrack - Bladder Wrack... the many names for this seaweed that I love the most. I find it therapeutic and satisfying to work on these digital drawings. They are built up in many layers - then using a subtractive method they are excavated and pared down to their essence.
